What is WILLMUN 2022

The Model UN is a popular activity for those interested​​ to learn more about how the UN works. Hundreds of thousands of students from around the world participate each year at all educational levels. Many of today's leaders in law, government, business, and the arts, including at the UN itself, participated in Model United Nations as students.

The United Nations Model UN Program aims to build and maintain strong links between the UN and MUN participants around the world. It does this through guides and workshops, which teach students how to make their simulations more accurate; visiting conferences and sharing first-hand knowledge about what the real UN is like; and encouraging Model UN clubs to take real action to support UN values and  Sustainable Development Goals.

It allows students to show their level of organization and collaborative work and develop qualities such as assertiveness, argumentation, counter-argumentation, moderate debate, public speaking and research.     
 

The debate team at Colegio Williams de Cuernavaca is established based on the concern and dynamism of students who, stripped of any type of interest or academic reward, other than training in a manner consistent with the spirit of the IB program. . Freelancers and enthusiasts requested the support to participate in the various UN Models, which are summoned year after year, since these, in their different editions, provide students with an incomparable opportunity to have an educational extracurricular experience to promote understanding of complex global problems.
